This
monograph is the next study of results of scientific research work
The Production Systems Engineering Department of the Gdansk
University of Technology. The monograph contains modern modeling
concepts of business systems, examples of applications and directions
of development.
The research issue
picked up here is up-to-date and important both to the theory and the
practice. It includes the following topics:

The presented work has
an interdisciplinary character, because it combines the technical,
economical, organizational and social issues in the management and in
the modeling of business systems. This work is a proposal of integral
problem solutions within the modern economy.
In the study both
mechanisms and functionality of business systems were described.
Examples of modeling of decision problems in the selected economic
activity were also included.
Recommendations which
concern effective management of economical systems can be found
within the presented work . This monograph can be used by students of
technical or economical studies, candidates for a doctor’s degree,
or practitioners employed in different economics departments.
