nauczania tłumaczenia. Wstępnie powstał on w czterech wersjach
językowych: francuskiej, angielskiej, hiszpańskiej i niemieckiej i
został wydany przez prestiżowe wydawnictwo John Benjamins Publishing
Company. Niniejsza wersja jest pierwszą w języku słowiańskim. Zawiera
kompendium wiedzy na temat przekładoznawstwa w postaci słownika
najczęściej używanych terminów wraz z bardzo rozbudowanymi
komentarzami, opatrzonymi licznymi przykładami. Dla wszystkich pojęć i
terminów podane są ekwiwalenty w czterech wyjściowych wersjach
językowych, a na końcu pracy znajduje się indeks tych terminów. Słownik
jest przeznaczony dla studentów filologii, adeptów sztuki tłumaczenia,
wykładowców przekładoznawstwa i nauczycieli praktyki tłumaczeniowej, a
także praktyków tej subtelnej i trudnej działalności w dziedzinie

Translation terminology
This book is a
dictionary of the basic terms referring to the theory, practice and
teaching of translation. Initially, it was compiled in four language
versions: French, English, Spanish and German and was brought out by a
major publisher, John Benjamins Publishing Company. This version is the
first one ever published in a Slavic language. It contains a compendium
of knowledge on the subject of translation studies in the form of a
dictionary of the most frequently used terms with extensive
commentaries, which are provided with numerous examples. For all the
concepts and terms equivalents in four initial language versions are
given, and at the end of the book readers will find an index of these
terms. This dictionary is addressed to students of philology,
specialists in the art of translation, lecturers in translation studies
and those who teach translation practice as well as those who are
active translators and perform this subtle and difficult of activity in
the field of international translation.
